Appleton, Wisconsin-headquartered distributor, AIA Corporation, announced that its board of directors has appointed Nancy K. Schmidt, as the company’s new chief executive officer following her successful two years with AIA.

John Rompon, a member of AIA’s board of directors, said, “Nancy has been ingrained in every aspect of AIA’s business and is the architect behind the organization’s strong financial teams and infrastructure.”

He further added, “Her contributions thus far have enabled AIA to keep pace in — and stay ahead of — this rapidly changing industry. I have no doubt that as CEO she will successfully lead and support the resilience and growth of the AIA community.”

During the two years tenure, Schmidt had served the company as vice president of finance and recently as chief financial officer.

“I’m honored and thrilled to lead AIA and usher in a season of resilience, stability and, ultimately, growth,” Schmidt said.
