Gildan which usually makes T-shirts, underwear and other basic garments started production of non-medical face masks and isolation gowns at its Honduras factories to help at this pandemic.

Gildan reported that first-quarter sales dropped 26 percent, and predicted a “significant earnings loss” for the second quarter of this year. Now, Gildan is planning to make 150 million masks and gowns out of facilities in Honduras and Nicaragua.
