InkSoft Art Acquires Digital Art Solutions

Maker of sales and production software for apparel decorators, InkSoft has acquired Digital Art Solutions. Financial details of the acquisition were not released.

Since 1992, Digital Art Solutions has provided the best quality software, digital art content, training, and support that allows decorators to take a giant leap forward. Furthermore, it will maintain its own brand identity and will continue to be run by founder Craig Mertens.

InkSoft and Digital Art Solutions will be managed from a centralized headquarters in Tempe, AZ.

Scott Allen, president of InkSoft, says the purchase of Digital Art Solutions will help his company bring solutions to two of the biggest challenges facing printers: sales growth and graphic design bottlenecks. “InkSoft’s purpose is to revolutionize the way print entrepreneurs do business, and this relationship will continue to make things easier for our industry,” he said in a statement. “We’re solving real-world challenges, and expanding our solutions to include the best and most respected art management system just makes a lot of sense.”

To this Mertens added: “InkSoft and Digital Art Solutions are a perfect fit. We will expand our reach and bring our graphics system to a larger audience. Together, [we] will provide a total solution for both sales and production.”
